The album needs to have at least one track with voice synth vocals.
(Applies to all album entries)

(Applies to all album entries)
Rule 49: No unofficial albums
Unofficial, fanmade compilation albums (bootlegs) where the author(s) are not involved in creating the songs are not allowed.

Artist entries for voicebanks created through any of the following methods are not allowed:
- The use of unlicensed, leaked, or otherwise illicitly obtained development kits
- Generated from existing voices without explicit consent from the author or appropriate terms of use.
Song credits should be added with the “custom artist” feature along with the unofficial voicebank/Jinriki tag. It is possible to further specify the methods used by tagging the song with the relevant child of the imported voicebank tag or with the VOCALOID V3 Developer Kit tag.
For example, a voicebank made with the VOCALOID V3 Developer Kit would fall under the first case, and most RVC models (besides those that have consent) would fall under the second. Note that some voicebanks, for example, Adachi Rei, have permissive licenses that freely allow for derivative creation, so consent is already granted.
(Applies to all song & artist entries)
Fan-made derivatives such as pitchbends and genderswaps such as Hagane Miku, should not be added as artist entries, as they are not voicebanks of their own. Corresponding tags should be used instead: https://vocadb.net/T/92/derivative.
- Official derivatives made or commissioned by the original creator of the voicebank, whether for Vocaloid or UTAU, are allowed.
(Applies to all artist entries)

Real-life names can still be added, if that’s the main artist name.
(Applies to all artist entries)
Rule 78: No producer name duplication
If the artist name includes the “producer” suffix (P or -P), do not duplicate a version without it as an alias.
Having both the “producer suffixes” (P and -P) is redundant as well. The artist entry should have the most common format (with or without the dash).
(Applies to all artist entries)
Rule 79: Separate artist personas
Respect artists’ wishes to keep artist personas separate.
(Applies to all artist entries)
Rule 83: No circle name duplication
Do not unnecessarily duplicate (solo) circle names between the artist and the circle entry.

(Applies to all artist entries)
Rule 86: Manager and voice provider
Manager only needs to be specified if it’s different from the voice provider.
(Applies to all artist entries)

If the main artist or song is tagged with do not reupload, do not add any reprint links to their songs.
(Applies to all song & artist entries)
Rule 95: No out-of-scope event entries
Event entries must be related to vocal synths.

Duplicating the album event(s) on its song entries is redundant, unless the song has a separate PV release.
(Applies to all song & album & event entries)
Rule 117: Remaster entry reuse
If the original is replaced by the remaster, it’s unnecessary to create a separate entry for the original if the original audio is unavailable and the remaster is uploaded within a month. The remaster can use the “original song” type.
(Applies to all song entries)
Rule 124: Other song type classification
The Other song type is for album tracks that do not belong to any other song type.
- For example, Commentary.
(Applies to all song & album entries)
Rule 129: Most relevant original version
If multiple original versions apply, choose the most relevant entry and mention the rest in the entry description.
Entry tree structure should be immutable and sorted by publish dates.
(Applies to all song entries)
Rule 130: Cover unifiers
If the out-of-scope original version has 5 or more derived song entries (such as remixes or covers) on VocaDB, it can be created as a cover unifier song entry.
Cover unifier artists (out-of-scope) should be credited as “custom artists” (no entry). The Temporary artist entry can be used to bypass the creation form.
(Applies to all song entries)
Rule 133: Use the correct PV types
Original= Authorized content uploaded by a party with rights to both audio and video.Reprint= A PV copied from another service and uploaded by a party unrelated to the original artist. - Adding links that have not yet premiered to existing song entries is fine, as long as the song entry has some other playable link.
(Applies to all song entries)
Rule 136: Region-blocked
Do not mark region-blocked PVs as “Unavailable”, unless the PV is region blocked everywhere.
(Applies to all song entries)
Rule 138: Source lyrics
Always leave a source for the lyrics. If transcribed/translated by yourself, mention that instead.
If the lyric source is missing, locate it before modifying the lyrics. See a list of websites where to look for lyrics. If the source can’t be found, create an entry report for the missing source and use a credit like “Unknown (fixed by user2)“.
(Applies to all song entries)
Rule 145: Unconfirmed vocalists tag
When crediting a derived voicebank based on hearing, Hatsune Miku Append (Soft) for example, tag the entry with “unconfirmed vocalists” or document the source in the edit notes.
(Applies to all song entries)
Rule 147: Tag usage requirements
Tags should be included in at least one entry.
Abstract grouping tags do not require any connected non-tag entries.
(Applies to all tag entries)
Rule 148: Tag category required
All tags should specify the tag cateogry.
(Applies to all tag entries)
Rule 149: Tag purpose
All tags should have at least one valid purpose:
-
Discovery: Tag is used for discovering related entries (all genre tags for example).
-
Search: Tag is used for searching or locating something already familiar (animated PV for example).
-
Statistical: Tag is used for calculating different statistics (western producer for example).
-
Informatory: Tag is used to convey information that doesn’t fit into the entry (entry missing artists for example).
(Applies to all tag entries)
Rule 150: Tag description required
All tags should include a valid description.
A tag’s description should explain its intended usage in clear English language.
For normal tags, skip generic usage instructions such as “tag for albums/artist/songs…“.
- Use “Valid for” restrictions instead.
Include source links when quoting information from external sources (such as Wikipedia).
(Applies to all tag entries)
Rule 151: No tag romanizations
It is not required (or recommended) to add romanizations for the tags.
Exceptions to this are tags such as sakura, that are simple, well-known, and more searchable with the added romanization.
(Applies to all tag entries)
Rule 152: No visual tags
Generally, tags should not be created or used for tracking visual details.
Some exceptions:
- Tags for MMD-related models (ISAO)
- Tags for the general PV style (comics PV)
- Tags for information/meta-details (mismatching vocalist PV)
(Applies to all tag entries)
Rule 161: Original PV classification
Original PV is authorized content uploaded by a party with rights to both audio and video.
Usually, this is the artist themselves or someone uploading on their behalf. If this is the case, and it’s not obvious how the upload was authorized, please clarify this in the edit notes.
Usually there is one original PV per service (Niconico, Youtube, …).
(Applies to all song entries)
Rule 162: Original PV deletion
When an original PV is deleted (or hidden by the author, or unavailable worldwide), mark it as “unavailable” instead of removing the link.
You can check the availability using the YouTube region restriction checker.
(Applies to all song entries)
Rule 163: Reprint PV classification
Reprint is a PV copied from another service and uploaded by a party unrelated to the original artist.
It should be identical to the original (music, vocals, length, and video). If any of these are changed, use the “Other” type, or create another (music PV) entry if appropriate.
(Applies to all song entries)
Rule 164: Other PV classification
Other PV is for subtitled PVs or PVs modified from the original that don’t justify a new entry.
- Audio should still be the same as the original.
For some songs, only “Other” type PVs may exist, where an authorized/official PV is not available. This is common for album-only songs.
(Applies to all song entries)
Rule 165: No default avatars
Do not add images/pictures to artist entries that are part of the default avatar collection for some website (Piapro for example).
(Applies to all artist entries)
Rule 167: Valid pool category
Pools (public song lists) should start with a category name. For example:
- Viewcounts: (NND) More than 10M views
- Contest: Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA Arcade (Song Contest Winners)
- Game: Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA (初音ミク -Project DIVA-)
- Official Playlist: Apple Music - Apple Music J-Pop Playlist: ボーカロイド ベスト
- Medley: RINLENMANIA of KARENT LINEUP
- Theme: Realistic tuning
(Applies to all songlist entries)
Rule 168: No redundant tags
Tags should add new information to the entry. Creating new tags or adding tags to entries that replicate or derive information from the existing fields is not allowed, unless the tag provides significant value (for example for the search feature).
(Applies to all tag entries)
Rule 169: Valid tag naming
When naming tags, use common English language rules for casing.
- For example, Final Fantasy (proper noun) vs. progressive rock.
- Abbreviations such as “RPG” should also be written in capital letters.
Many tags are language-neutral, meaning that they’re not tied to any particular language.
- Examples of such tags are genres (such as rock) and themes (such as summer).
- For these tags, the non-English name should be translated to Japanese for practical reasons.
Unlike with other entry types, tag aliases do not need to be “real” aliases of the primary name. Tag that is used for multiple similar purposes can include multiple distinct “aliases”:
T/9493/teeth includes:
- toothbrush
- toothpaste
- tooth fairy
This improves tag searchability and avoids “duplicate” tags that are conceptually very similar.
(Applies to all tag entries)
Rule 170: Copyright tag usage requirements
Copyright tags can be created for a few reasons:
- A) Official: IP utilizes voice synth music within the product (anime/game/etc).
- B) Official: IP utilizes voice synth music to promote the product.
- C) Unofficial: (Original) fansongs inspired by the IP (Parody songs, Image songs, etc).
- D) Unofficial: Derived (remix/cover) songs of official IP music.
Avoid creating tags for C and D if they do not apply to at least 5 entries.
(Applies to all tag entries)
Rule 171: No obscure genre tags
Obscure genre tags should be avoided.
Genre tags that are hard to tell apart and/or are inconsistently used by artists should be merged in most cases.
(Applies to all tag entries)
Rule 174: No sensitive personal information
Sensitive personal information should not be shared in entries or user profiles.
(Applies to all entries)
Rule 175: Official romanizations are valid
Official romanizations do not need to follow VocaDB’s romanization guidelines.
In this case the official romanization tag is required.
(Applies to all entries)
Rule 176: Faint vocals
For original songs with faint vocals that are almost fully instrumental, use the faint vocals tag.
(Applies to all song entries)
Rule 178: Unofficial out-of-scope music PVs
Unofficial music PVs with only out-of-scope characters are allowed if the video has at least 100k views.
(Applies to all song entries)
Rule 179: Respect the no-lyrics-allowed tag
If the main artist or song is tagged with no lyrics allowed, do not add any lyrics to their songs.
(Applies to all song & artist entries)

Original name (= default name language) should match with the given primary name, unless tagged with untitled.
(Applies to all finished entries)
Rule 26: Prioritize official translations
The official romanization and/or translation should be prioritized even if it’s against VocaDB’s romanization guidelines.
(Applies to all finished entries)
Rule 27: Correct entry subtype required
Entry subtype must be specified for album, artist & song entries.
(Applies to all finished song & album & artist entries)
Rule 28: Merge correctly
Merge from lower entry status to higher entry status, or from newer to older entry.
(Applies to all finished entries)
Rule 29: No new non-English translations
New non-English title translations should not be added without a good reason.
For example, the song entry ECHO should not receive new name/title translations.
Acceptable exceptions:
- Translation is used somewhere elsewhere (add for improved searchability).
- Translation is related to the original name (additional context/value). For example, マトリョシカ is from the Russian word “Матрёшка”, but is also known by its Romanized form “Matryoshka”.
(Applies to all finished entries)
Rule 51: Full tracklist required
Finished albums should include the full tracklist.
(Applies to all finished album entries)
Rule 53: Full album name
Include the full album name, even if it seems to have multiple parts.
#VOCALOID CAFETERIA vol.01 Chinese food for example.
(Applies to all finished album entries)
Rule 54: Multiple album versions
If the album has multiple versions/editions (different tracklist, additional discs, different cover art or a catalog number), create new entries where appropriate and mention these in album descriptions OR in the external links.
Also append the album version the the album name if appropriate: “(Regular Edition)” or “(Kagamine Rin version)“
Also include the multiple editions tag.
(Applies to all finished album entries)
Rule 55: Cover art required
Include the cover art for the album.
If the album has no cover picture, use the no cover art tag instead.
(Applies to all finished album entries)
Rule 56: Temporary cover art
If the only available cover picture is lower quality, use the temporary cover art tag.
(Applies to all finished album entries)
Rule 57: Custom tracks
The “custom track” feature (no song entry) should only be used for out-of-scope tracks made by out-of-scope artists. Secret Sky 2020 (DJ Mix) for example.
(Applies to all finished song & album & artist entries)
Rule 58: Publish year required
Finished albums should specify the publish year.
(Applies to all finished album entries)
Rule 59: Content tags
Content-based artist/album tags should only be used if a sizable portion of the album/artist’s songs are tagged.
A parent tag can also be used if the song entries are tagged with more specific child tags.
(Applies to all finished song & album & artist entries)
Rule 62: Valid support status
Support status is for crediting artists who play a minor role compared to the main artists in the same role. It should only be used when there’s a clear separation of main and support artists. If there is only one artist in a certain role, the support status should never be used.
Valid examples:
- Backing vocals, e.g., a background chorus when the main vocals are sung by another vocalist.
- Background illustrators (to distinguish them from the main illustrator).
Support status can’t currently be specified to a specific artist role. For example, if a song composer is also responsible for the background image, the support status should not be used.
Effects of support status:
-
Support status removes the artist(s) from the artist string and affects the search through the “Only main songs” filter.
-
Artists with support status never appear in the “artist string” of the song/album.
-
Support artists are shown in parentheses and after all other artists.
(Applies to all finished song & album & artist entries)
Rule 64: Limited artist information
If only the name of the artist is known, use the tag limited artist information on the artist entry.
(Applies to all finished artist entries)

If the artist is credited with some placeholder name, use the anonymous artist tag on the artist entry.
(Applies to all finished artist entries)
Rule 67: Producer entry credits required
Artist credits in the “producer” category must be made with artist entries.
- If the name of the producer is unknown, use the entry Unknown producer(s).
(Applies to all finished song & album entries)
Rule 75: Correct Youtube link
If artist entries include Youtube URLs, at least one non-handle version must be included.
- Handle URL: https://www.youtube.com/@YouTube
- Default URL: https://www.youtube.com/channel/YouTube
- Custom URL: https://www.youtube.com/c/YouTube
- Legacy URL: https://www.youtube.com/user/YouTube
Adding links with different URL formats is encouraged because they can be useful for recognition and archival purposes.
Handle URLS ”@” (for example https://www.youtube.com/@YouTube) are not currently supported by the system that adds relevant artists to songs on the song submission page, so if an artist has only the ”@” url, you will have to add the artist manually.
(Applies to all finished artist entries)
Rule 77: No honorifics
It’s common to see artists credited with additional honorifics. These should not be added, unless the artist uses those themselves: Gedou-san for example.
(Applies to all finished artist entries)
Rule 80: No composite names
Composite names consisting of parts that are pronounced the same way in different writing systems should generally be avoided.
Every field should contain only one version of the name:
- “Giga(ギガ)” is incorrect → should be separated into two names: Giga and ギガ.
- ”Bumpyうるし(Urushi)” is incorrect → should be separated into two names: Bumpyうるし and BumpyUrushi.
(Applies to all finished artist entries)
Rule 81: Correct artist type
Artist type specifies the most common role that the artist participates in, with some overrides.
- Music producer overrides cover artist if they have at least one composed/arranged song entry.
- Verified artists can request changing the chosen artist type.
The available artist roles are limited and serve as approximations.
- For example, the person responsible for the song image should be credited with the “illustrator” role, even if it’s technically something else (e.g., photographer).
(Applies to all finished song & artist entries)
Rule 82: Mention solo circle
If a solo circle is added as an artist alias instead of creating a separate entry, mention the circle alias in the artist entry description.
(Applies to all finished artist entries)
Rule 87: Keep previous members
If an artist leaves a group/circle, generally it’s best to mention this in the entry description(s) instead of unlinking the entries.
Verified artists can request unlinking from the circle/group in any case.
(Applies to all finished artist entries)
Rule 88: Label other voice synths
Engines for Other voice synthesizer (if available) need to be added as a tag and included in the voicebank entry name.
- If the voicebank has no separate engine, use the voicebank-as-engine tag.
- If engine is not known, use the unknown engine tag.
- Multiengine synths that have no clear or safe-to-assume base voicebanks usually have a corresponding “unknown” entry. These are grouped under the “unspecified voicebank engine” tag.
(Applies to all finished artist entries)
Rule 89: Voicebank language required
Voicebank language, if available, needs to be specified.
(Applies to all finished artist entries)

- Video streaming services such as NicoNicoDouga and YouTube.
- Distributing the song on a physical album at a record store or event.
- Digital album on a marketplace such as iTunes, Spotify, Apple Music, etc..
Private distribution does not count. Work in progress versions also do not count.
If the song is deleted and then reuploaded, the publish date does not change. It’s still the date when the song was first made public.
If the field is empty, the publish date is automatically suggested based on the album and PV links.
(Applies to all finished song entries)
Rule 101: Clean title
The title section should only contain the name of the song, except for Remix and Remaster entries: https://wiki.vocadb.net/rules/keep-remix-titles
- Vocalists, song type, producers, etc. should all be removed.
(Applies to all finished song entries)
Rule 102: Keep remix titles
Remix entries should keep the long title.
For example: Plug Out (HSP 2012 Remix)
- Remove clear non-title parts (e.g., original artist credit).
- Remove the vocalist’s name if it is separate from the rest of the title.
- Remove the song type if it is separate from the rest of the title.
The same applies for Remaster songs.

(Applies to all finished song entries)
Rule 105: Specify original
Derived songs should either:
- Specify the
Original versionfield. - Refer (as an external link) to the original entry on UtaiteDB, if available. This will display it as the “Original version” along with automatic metadata.
- Include the original out of scope tag.
- Include the original version unknown tag.
(Applies to all finished song entries)

If multiple song types apply, add them as tags.
(Applies to all finished song entries)
Rule 109: Original song classification
Original songs (“オリジナル曲” in Japanese) are songs that have completely original content and aren’t based on other songs.
The original song is the version of the song that was published first. Later versions are considered derivatives regardless of who made them.
For original instrumental (album) songs, use the original song type with the instrumental tag. The instrumental song type is for instrumental versions of original songs.
(Applies to all finished song entries)
Rule 110: Instrumental tag
Original songs without vocals require the instrumental tag.
(Applies to all finished song entries)
Rule 111: No vocalists if instrumental
Exclude vocalist credits for off-vocal/karaoke songs that have background/harmony vocals, as these are already credited in the original entry.
(Applies to all finished song entries)
Rule 112: Remix classification
A remix is a variant of an original recording, often in a different genre.
Remixes may or may not involve recording new music, often using samples from the original.
(Applies to all finished song & artist entries)
Rule 113: Live versions as remixes
Entries tagged with live recording should use the remix song type.
(Applies to all finished song entries)
Rule 114: Extended versions as remixes
Entries tagged with extended version should use the remix song type.
(Applies to all finished song entries)
Rule 115: Cover classification
A Cover (カバー曲) is a re-recorded version of a song, usually by a different artist.
In the voice synth world, covers often use a different voicebank while keeping the instrumentals intact.
Self-cover tag is for songs where the original artist covered their own song.
Songs with (only) changed lyrics or added lyrics should be marked as covers.
Note that cover entries tagged with out of scope arrangement sound instrumentally different from the base entry.
(Applies to all finished song & artist entries)
Rule 116: Remaster classification
A remaster or remake (“修正版” or “リマスター版” in Japanese) is an improved version of a song.
A remaster should differ from the original only in terms of mastering, though this term is interpreted loosely in the Vocaloid world. If the new version is significantly different, the remaster song type should not be used.
(Applies to all finished song entries)
Rule 118: Music PV classification
The Music PV type is used for remarkable PVs of (usually original) songs, whether created by the original producer (any PV style) or someone else (with in-scope characters.).
(Applies to all finished song entries)
Rule 119: Music PV entry reuse
If the remarkable official music PV has the same length as the original entry AND if the original entry has no official upload (album track for example), reuse the original entry.
(Applies to all finished song & album entries)
Rule 120: Low-effort Music PVs
New Music PV -entries should not be created for unofficial low-effort PVs. These can be added as Other PVs to the original entry instead, if the song length matches.
(Applies to all finished song entries)
Rule 121: Mashup classification
Mashups are songs made by blending two or more songs together.
Songs that mix multiple covers of the same song together (joining multiple vocal tracks) should be labeled as covers.
(Applies to all finished song entries)
Rule 122: Specify mashup sources
Specify all the original versions in the song description.
(Applies to all finished song entries)
Rule 123: Medley classification
A medley is a special case of mashup where songs are played one after another, possibly with overlap.
Unless the medley is an original song, use the Mashup song type.
(Applies to all finished song entries)
Rule 125: Song type priority
- Mashup/Remix/Remaster > Cover > Music PV
(Applies to all finished song entries)
VocaDB song type classifications should be prioritized over official labels.
(Applies to all finished song entries)
Rule 127: Simultaneous uploads
Voice synth songs that include both an official voice synth version and an official human-sung version (out-of-scope) should be tagged with simultaneous upload if the publish dates are less than a week apart.
-
In this case the entry should be marked as
Original song. -
Specify the human-sung version in the song description or external links with its publish date.
-
If the human-sung version is published more than a week before the voice synth version, mark the song as “cover” with the self-cover tag instead.
-
These rules do not apply if both songs have entries on VocaDB.
(Applies to all finished song entries)
Rule 128: First published as original
Original version should be the entry with the earliest publish date.
If multiple versions of a song are uploaded simultaneously, it doesn’t generally matter which is picked as the original version.
(Applies to all finished song entries)
Rule 131: Same audio
All PVs in the song entry should have the same audio and roughly the same song length.
Unrelated intros and outros are an exception to this.
(Applies to all finished song entries)
If the original artist is not directly involved with the derived version, the artist credit should not be duplicated from the original entry.
(Applies to all finished song & artist entries)
If the song has multiple producers, specify the roles if available: Composer, Arranger & Voice Manipulator.
(Applies to all finished song entries)
Rule 137: Multilingual lyrics
The general minimum criteria for marking additional languages is to count whether there are two or more full lines in the additional language.
(Applies to all finished song entries)
Rule 139: Source lyric modifications
Lyrics can be modified without creating new lyrics, as long as the modification is mentioned in the source:
- External source: “From MikuWiki” -> “From MikuWiki (edited by user2)”
(Applies to all finished song entries)
Rule 140: No significant lyric modifications
Large lyric edits require creating new lyrics.
(Applies to all finished song entries)
Rule 141: Circle crediting
Circle can be credited if credited directly OR if all the active members participate in the song.
Note that the songs by the circle/group can be searched with the “Include group members” filter.
(Applies to all finished song entries)
Rule 142: Vocalist entry credit required
If the album/song includes in-scope vocals, and if the vocalist is uncredited, the artist entry Unknown vocalist(s) can be used.
- The entry Unknown vocal synth(s) or any of its derived artist entries can also be used to further narrow down the vocalist.
(Applies to all finished song & album & artist entries)
Rule 143: Credit earliest voicebank version
If the specific voicebank is only partially credited, there are two options depending which piece of information is omitted:
-
“Kamui Gakupo V4” = “V4 Kamui Gakupo (Unknown)"
-
"Kamui Gakupo (Power)” = “V3 Kamui Gakupo (Power)“
Always credit the earliest “Gakupo Power” bank (V3 instead of V4) along with the “unspecified voicebank version” -tag.
(Applies to all finished song & artist entries)
Rule 144: Matching voicebank language
Song language should match one of the voicebank languages, unless the song is tagged with unsupported language.
(Applies to all finished artist & song entries)
Rule 146: Unspecified voicebank tag
When the vocalist sounds different from the base-version but no further guess exists, the unspecified voicebank tag can be used.
The base voicebank should be credited.
(Applies to all finished song entries)
Rule 153: Parent tags
In most cases, child tags should describe a subset of the parent tag.
-
There are cases where the subset relationship isn’t as clear. Genre tags for example utilize the tag hierarchy for historical and stylistic origins.
-
Additionally, fusion tags such as folk metal are neither subsets of metal or folk music.
For tags with multiple separate parent tag candidates, pick the one that makes the most sense.
(Applies to all finished tag entries)
Rule 154: Related tags
Immediate parent/child tags should not be set as related tags.
(Applies to all finished tag entries)
For derived songs, credit out-of-scope original artists in the song description (example), unless an original version has been specified as a song entry (cover unifier for example).
(Applies to all finished song entries)
Rule 156: Out-of-scope arrangement
If a song-3 is derived from out-of-scope song-2, which in turn is derived from in-scope song-1, you can specify the song-1 as the original version for song-3.
- The skipped version (song-2) should be mentioned in song-3’s entry description.
- The relevant tag out-of-scope arrangement should also be added.
(Applies to all finished song entries)
Rule 157: Instrumental classification
The Instrumental song type is used for instrumental versions of songs, where a non-instrumental version with vocals is the original. AKA off-vocal or karaoke.
Instrumental versions of songs are accepted only as part of album entries. They should be the same as the original version, excluding vocals. If otherwise different, use the remix or cover types with the instrumental tag.
(Applies to all finished song entries)
Rule 159: Drama PV classification
Drama PVs focus on story instead of music, often made with MMD software. They should feature a voice synth character to be accepted on VocaDB.
- Drama PVs should be self-made/self-directed stories.
- Copying memes, TV shows or movie scenes are usually not considered drama PVs.
(Applies to all finished song entries)
Rule 160: Entry missing artists tag
If the song has no known artist credits available, use the entry missing artists tag.
(Applies to all finished artist entries)
Rule 172: Credit base voicebank
If the voice is only credited by the character name and not further specified, the default choice in most cases should be the base voicebank. In some cases they are labeled with the text “unknown”.
- Hatsune Miku = Hatsune Miku
- Otomachi Una = Otomachi Una (Unknown)
There are some exceptions where the base voicebank should be avoided. For example, Japanese “Xin Hua” songs should be credited with the V4 Japanese voicebank, since the base voicebank is Chinese.
- ”Xin Hua” = “Xin Hua V4 Japanese (Unknown)”
(Applies to all finished artist & album & song entries)
Rule 173: Unknown base voicebanks
Multiengine synths that have no clear/safe-to-assume base voicebanks should have a corresponding “unknown”-entry. These are grouped under the unspecified voicebank engine tag.
