Rule 125: Song type priority
The priority of the type of a song entry is as follows.
This means that the “Mashup” or “Remix” type takes precedence to the “Remaster” type, then the “Remaster” type takes precedents to the “Cover” type, and so on. Use this priority when selecting the type of a song entry.
For example:
- A remix with changed vocals should use the “Remix” type.
- A remaster with changed instrument track should use the “Remix” type.
- A music video with changed vocals should use the “Cover” type.
This is because a song entry can only accept one type at the time. When more types apply, add them as tags.
